We are proud to have been continuously evolving our platform for the past 20 years to meet the needs of our clients. On January 10th, 2024, we rolled out a major update to the client area, which is just one of many updates coming your way.
We are excited to share with you our development roadmap for 2024.
New Plugins
- Mixpanel. Integration with the product analytics service www.mixpanel.com
- IPQS. Integration with the service www.ipqualityscore.com
- “No Background Check” Notice. This plugin ensures transparency with users by clearly communicating that the dating platform does not conduct criminal or any other background checks on its members. Implementing this plugin complies with new laws in Connecticut and New Jersey, enhancing user safety and reporting channels since January 1, 2024, to avoid a $25,000 fine for non-compliance. - Photo comments pre-moderation. This plugin is designed to uphold community standards by requiring all comments on photos to be approved by a moderator before they are published on the website, ensuring that all interactions remain appropriate and respectful.
- My Interests Section. Users will be able to see different lists on the desktop:
- who liked the user
- mutual matches
- who viewed user profile
- who the user liked
- who the user added to bookmarks
- Enhanced user moderation. Admin and moderators will be able to see and manage users’ conversations, reports, and comments. It further enhances moderation by allowing the suspension or deletion of users and their photos directly from the PWA application via a convenient “three dots” menu in users’ profiles.
- Who Liked Me? The plugin will display a list of people who liked the user but with blurred photos. Users need to buy a subscription to unblur the photos and view users who liked them.
- OneSignal. Integration with www.onesignal.com for in-app messaging service. For example, it will be possible to display pop-ups with discounts.
- Chat Safety Popup. This plugin displays a one-time popup detailing safe dating practices and community guidelines exclusively for first-time chat visitors, fostering a secure initial interaction.
- Daily Like Limit. The plugin limits the number of daily likes for standard users, encouraging an upgrade to a subscription model for unlimited liking capabilities and driving revenue through premium memberships.
- Bulk Photo Uploader. This plugin enables users to upload photos in bulk, significantly increasing the quantity of photos added to the platform, enriching user profiles, and enhancing overall engagement.

- IPv6 support
- Support for “Likes” on the desktop version
- Google One Tap for Google SSO service
- Ability to edit usernames for Google SSO users
- Ability to moderate users and photos in PWA: suspend or delete user, delete user photo
- Add search by user ID to users moderation in the admin panel
- Improve design for the user profile screen in PWA – divide fields into sections (similar to Desktop)
- Search by username/email/user id/Transaction ID in Finances
Please note that some of the plug-ins from the list above will be available for purchase and some will be provided on a complimentary basis. You will need to have an active Managed Support Service plan to be able to purchase or download plugins and be eligible for the SkaDate software updates.
We are excited to introduce these and many other new features to our existing engine. With that being said, for the SkaDate platform to survive and thrive in the future, we need to increase the prices for our hosting and support services. Communicating price increases is never pleasant, but we had to make a difficult decision to do so to be able to provide future support and development for the SkaDate engine and its components and plugins.
To show good faith and appreciation, we will be offering additional discounts to our new and existing customers who purchase long-term service plans by March 1st, 2024. We hope that this will help ease the transition and continue our partnership with you. You will be receiving additional communication from us concerning pricing in the coming weeks via e-mail.
